What is a Diddl Mouse?
Diddl Mouse is a fictional character—a jerboa—a jumping mouse (kangaroo mouse) with big feet and a long tail. Diddl is a very charming mouse. With his messages, may it be with his cards, in periodicals, or in songs, he conveys the importance of friendship, loving, caring, and sharing. At times, Diddl Mouse is funny, sad, glad, and sassy.

  • At times he communicates in writing what is so hard to say.
  • Diddl Mouse is just a well-rounded character.

    Who created Diddl?
The Artist Thomas Goletz. Thomas was 21 years old when he submitted greeting cards to the company Depesche in Germany. Depesche produced the cards and a department store chain put the cards on the market. They were an immediate success.

From there evolved a whole line of merchandise. The use of very bright colors of vibrant turquoise, pink, violet, blue, and red make the Diddl collection such a cheerful collection.

In how many countries are Diddl products sold?
Diddl is available in thirteen European countries, and now in the United States at B & K Novelties Inc. DiddlUSA and DiddlandFriends . Visit the The Diddl Online Store to browse and shop.

Do you have a lot of collectors?
Absolutely. Diddl has many loyal fans in Europe, who have become enthusiastic collectors of all Diddl items, especially cards and sheets of printed writing material. Many schools in Germany have created Diddl hours, a special time for school children to swap their Diddl items.

The paper products and other printed items are produced only once, and thereafter, the illustrations are changed. The most popular note pads 5.5" x 8" by now have several hundred designs. This is the most collected item by school children.

Is it true that there are stores in Europe that sell only Diddl?
Yes. Because of the demand and the huge selection, many larger cities have exclusive Diddl Mouse Stores.
